Is it Time to Move on From Gronk?

Salute: NFL Spin Zone.com

However, Gronkowski is a player on the decline and not even playing with Brady will get him back to his once dominant ways.

There is truth to this, however, consider the rest of the tight ends in the NFL.  Is there anyone, even fully healthy, that's much better?  Granted, you don't want to risk big dollars on Gronk in an auction, but $3-$7 as your second TE is worth that risk, even if you only get half a season out of him.

Salute: NESN.com
Sources told ESPN’s Josina Anderson on Wednesday that the Raiders have caught the running back’s attention. Oakland’s sturdy offensive line is one significant reason behind Peterson’s interest, ESPN’s Ben Goessling wrote of Anderson’s report.

Texas' Foreman Out for Combine

Salute: Pro Football Talk

According to multiple reports, a medical exam showed that Foreman has a small stress fracture in his foot.

While Foreman won't participate in any of the remaining drills in Indianapolis for precautionary reasons, the 233-pound bruiser should be ready to roll at UT's pro day on March 28.  NFL.com's Chad Reuter has the Green Bay Packers taking the Texas product at No. 61 overall in his latest four-round mock draft.

Jets Release Brandon Marshall

Salute: NFL.com

The New York Jets are releasing veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall at his request, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday.
The news comes just days after the team notified cornerback Darrelle Revis and offensive lineman Nick Mangold of their impending release.

Cooks to Nashville or Philly?

Salute: NJ.com

The Eagles are attempting to trade for New Orleans Saints receiver Brandin Cooks, according to an ESPN report.
In addition to the Eagles, the Tennessee Titans are also interested, and are the "more likely" suitor for Cooks, according to ESPN.

Cooks would help either team, not to mention their young quarterbacks.  In 2016, Cooks put up a 78/1173/8 season, good for 222 points and a 7th place finish among receivers.  What I question is why New Orleans would let him go.  As a fantasy player, he's a relative bargain.  He's in the final year of a contract that pays him a reasonable $31 in 2017.

Jeffery Wants to Be a Winner

Salute: NFL.com

"I don't have any hard feelings towards the Bears -- it's all love," Jeffery said. "Whatever the next chapter is, I'm ready for it. I'm looking at the teams that obviously need a wide receiver, but also put me in the best situation to win a championship right now.

Jeffery will have a good shot to land with a winner, despite an unsightly 2016 which featured a four-game suspension.

Jaguars Waiting to Decide on Bortles

Salute: NFL.com

Coach Doug Marrone defended Bortles during his news conference Wednesday and Caldwell continued to back him Thursday. The organization has provided a unified front on the former No. 3 overall pick, who appeared to regress a year ago mechanically, which caused a dip in production.

It would be a shame if Jacksonville cut Bortles.  Not because he's a great quarterback, but because he is a great FANTASY quarterback.  And a very inexpensive one.  He's signed through 2021 in our league at $4/$5/$7/$9/$11.  In 2015, Bortles was the #4 overall scorer at 394.  In 2016, he was 15th at 301.  And while he did regress, he's still one of the best bargains in our league.  And likely, in your league, too.
