Pete Carroll Breaks the Rules. Again.

Salute: Pro Football Talk

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll accidentally wandered into quicksand on Monday during a radio appearance, admitting that cornerback Richard Sherman played for much of the year with an MCL injury to his knee that never was disclosed. At his end-of-season press conference conducted later in the day, Carroll admitted to the violation.

And this is why fantasy football players tend to lose their minds; trying to make lineup decisions on either bad or no information.  Insofar as the league's own website offers fantasy games, you would think that transparency would be not only mandatory but punished severely when teams break the rules.

My experience with this killed a season many years ago.  My brother-in-law and I shared a team that featured John Elway as our quarterback.  For three straight weeks, he was listed as questionable (groin).  So, figuring Denver wouldn't keep their franchise on the bench late in a season, we made the reasonable decision to start him.  Well, for three straight weeks, Elway carried a clipboard and our season went straight down the latrine.

On the other hand, we did get a great fantasy football team name out of the deal.

The Questionable Groins.

Would work well for a band name, too.

You're welcome.
