Why Draft a Running Back?

Salute: Pro Football Talk

About 24 percent of all snaps taken by running backs since 2006 have been taken by undrafted players. That’s far more than any other position; at no other position do undrafted players play more than 17 percent of snaps.

And this is why finding running backs is such a problem.  And why fantasy players are willing to spend huge money for the "sure" thing.  With so many RB's available late in the NFL Draft and in free agency, how does an owner know who to draft or spend money on?  They don't.  And they will continue to not know and the price of running backs will just continue to climb.
