The Cleveland Browns Are On the Clock

Salute: Pro Football Focus

The top spot holds a number of options, and a quarterback-needy team like the Browns is sure to scout all of the top signal-callers, but it’s a draft that lacks a clear front-runner at the top. Here’s a look at three strong options for Cleveland at the top of the draft, with the caveat with all three players that we are still early on in our evaluation process.

The Browns also hold the 33rd pick, which is the first pick of the second round.  To me, it seems likely they could draft their QB-of-the-Future in that spot and reduce a little bit of risk.  Certainly, this is a team that remembers the sting of drafting Johnny Manziel and Brandon Weeden in the first rounds of 2014 and 2012, respectively.  Plus, the Browns are probably just a bit gun-shy using another number one on a QB because of those picks.
