So there’s a good chance Lacy will have to sign a one-year deal to prove to the league his ankle is fine and he can get, and keep, the weight off.
I think Green Bay has to re-sign Lacy. I don't believe there is an RB that is worth picking at 29 if Cook and Fournette are off the board. Besides, the Packers need help all over the defense.
As good as Ty Montgomery was at times in '16, he's no Lacy, who can rip off big chunks of yards up the middle and is a surprisingly nimble receiver out of the backfield.
