Vikings co-owner and team president Mark Wilf called Peterson “such an important part of our organization” and said that it will be a “tough analysis” to figure out if it makes sense for him to remain in the organization.
I can save the Vikings some time. Peterson turns 32 this spring and is scheduled to make $18M for 2017. Further, Peterson probably would rather test the open market than accept whatever the Vikings offer. Thus, it doesn't make sense for Peterson to remain in the organization.
