Jim Harbaugh Thinks Tom Brady is Pretty Good

Salute: Pro Football Talk

"Tom Brady is the greatest football player to ever play,” Harbaugh said, via ESPN.com.

Let's not get carried away here.  Look, Brady is a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.  He is one of the top two or three QB's to ever play the game.  If he wins a fifth Super Bowl ring, it would be hard to deny his place atop Quarterback Mountain.

But greatest football player to ever play?  I think not.

For me, Walter Payton remains #1.  Lawrence Taylor is up there and so is Jim Brown, Dick Butkus, Ronnie Lott, Anthony Munoz, Joe Montana, Joe Greene, Reggie White, and more.  Brady belongs in the conversation, but he isn't the greatest of all time.

Either way, New England got the all-time greatest steal in the history of the NFL draft with pick 199 of the 2000 draft.
